6-Year-Old Girl with Brain Cancer Hid Love Notes for Her Parents to Find After Her Death

When 6-year-old Elena Desserich was diagnosed with brain cancer, she began hiding hundreds of little love notes around the house for her parents to find after she was gone. Here’s the story:
Just before her sixth birthday, Elena Desserich (right) was diagnosed with brain cancer and given 135 days to live. She lived 255 days, passing away in 2007. After her death, Elena’s parents, Brooke and Keith, found hundreds of notes from Elena hidden around the house — in between CD cases, between bookshelves, in dresser drawers, in backpacks….
"It just felt like a little hug from her, like she was telling us she was looking over us"
Elena left hundreds of notes like these:

Elena’s parents, Brooke and Keith Desserich, have now published these notes in a book called Notes Left Behind to fund a non-profit organization The Cure Starts Now dedicated to fighting pediatric brain cancer.

Sunday Morning

Now is Sunday..9.11 AM~~~
Tomorrow is Monday...yeah...going back to Sabah tomorrow...wooh...can't wait..
I woke up early..check my email,facebook, friendster and update my blog again..
Okay~~ I have time to do all this but I don't have time to do my assignment and homework...haha..=p..

Why I woke up so early???
Because my dad called me then I cannot sleep back...now I feel hungry...
I wan to eat something nice and delicious...~~yum yum~~

Things to do today are :-

a) wash my clothes
b) packing
c) clean my room
d) cook for my breakfast,lunch and dinner
e) do my ASS - ignment
f) lastly..online~~~^^

Okay..today is saturday...
everybody went back already to their hometown for sem-break except for me...stuck here for 3 days... really a boring day for me...
my flight is on Monday..1 day to go but I can't wait..arghh...

so, I surf internet, chatting with Qibah n Zi Han, n lastly, self-captured...hehe

well, eventhough its boring at afternoon but i had great time wit my coursemate..
i dunno wat happened that day wen suddenly almost all law students took pictures here and there while waiting for PGL class to start..but guys,thats was fun...bcoz i like to take pic.. ^^

Life in Malacca

Now I'm start enjoying my life in Malacca..
I have nice housemates and especially roommates...
Every time we went out together either went to Dataran Pahlawan or Mahkota Parade or Jonker..we'll sure we having a good time together because we're not going to stay together forever..
We enjoyed our day...My favourite part is
SHOPPING...
yes..absolutely...who doesn't like shopping...I'm a SHOPAHOLIC...

My life in NS..

The story begin.. :-

I was placed in a dorm named KEMBOJA ..

At first time,i dun really like my dorm because I want to be at the same dorm with my bestfriend that is adel .. but they separate us...

Day by day..Im getting close with my dormmates n I really have fun wit them..

Eventhough sumtimes we don't like sumones attitude but its normal..

Nobody perfect..

I still cannot forget the time we carry da bed together as da punishment..dat time a lot of words came out from our mouth..haha... I know all of us angry dat time..feel tired..of coz we say da bad words..=p..but now its only a memory...huhu..

Yaya the quatermaster of da camp...she's really lazy..haha.. sumtimes she escape prayers everyday with anne,ica n diya...opps..kantoi ya...haha...she also like to siram orang during we bath..bad yaya...btw,i like her n i love her...hehe..

Chen Chen my adik..=p.. We always stick together until they say we both are twins.. she's my close fren in ns because we sleep,eat,bath n go 2 sumwer always together...dats y i love her n nw i miss her so much...

Syahirah n dhila..a bestfren..and really holy...hehe..we call them mak aji 1 n mak aji 2..haha... Syirah likes to eat maggie..ish3...not nice la...dhila reminds me of khakhakhakha.....haha...=p

Diya is really funny 1..u can recognize her by seeing how she run..haha..her nickname in ns was lilo..i dunno why..maybe she looks like a lilo..kan diya..=p

She is my jiran in dorm...she slept besides me n I always disturb her closet..hehe...

Ica kuat melatah...hehe...I like to kacau2 her...she's a really nice n soft girl but she also say da bad words...haha..

Anne who always make noise in da dorm during da late nite...she make everyone cannot sleep because of her annoying voice...haha...jan marah ye anne..=p

Mey lerh,ekei,ying ying n pui yein..da chinese girls.. they dun like spicy foods..like me also...they like to eat maggie... all of them angkat dobi wit me n da indian girls...kan..=)

Zeda n nana like siblings..hehe...yaya n da geng always disturb them..hehe...especially nana...kcian nana...=p

Intan perempuan melayu terakhir...haha... she allergic with people because she don't like people to touch her..except her mother...kan intan...she also change clothes behind da door...haha...very funny when we disturb her...

Puva n geetha da indian girls...hehe...

mostly they always lama2 in da shower room until I shout at them...hehe...

They easily kena bully la...especially when chaca bully puva...haha...

And for those who going back early before d ns finish..thanks 4 what u guys have done to our dorm no matter in bad or good situation..hehe..=p
